It's hard to imagine in this day and age, but there was originally a viaduct which crossed Lewes Road!
It crossed over the Vogue Gyratory between Sainsburys and Melbourne Street, dominating the skyline in the surrounding area, but there is precious little that exists today that even hints at its existence.
Using old photos, buildings around the viaduct which still exist in the present day and (where possible) 'Then & Now' photos of the same location, we attempt to unravel the mystery of this leviathon.
