Gala Bingo Complex, which stands partially on the site of the station
building, is shown in this picture. While all traces of the site’s
heritage have been obliterated save for the tunnel portal, it is nice
to see that a little reminder of the past has been built into the
corner of the bingo hall. Hopefully small children will ask their
parents or grandparents why there is a train coming out of a tunnel in
the Bingo hall. Would Mum and Dad know? What about Gran and Grandad?
