photo shows Elm Grove Primary School opposite Carlisle Street, about
halfway up Elm Grove. The main school building can be seen on the left.
The short stretch of wall in this view would be directly over the
western portal of the tunnel to Kemptown. The green patch just visible
in the centre of the picture is William Clark Park, which would have
originally been the cutting leading to the tunnel, parallel to
