ghost-of projects presents: The Kemp Town Railway

This interesting view shows the site midway through its development into an industrial estate during the 70’s. One of the old goods buildings can be seen at the extreme right of the picture, just above the tallest warehouse. The fascinating and forbidding looking warehouses in the foreground were all cleared when Eastern Road was widened, but it is interesting to note that the station building remained intact well into the 90’s, when the Gala bingo hall was built.
