Dear Storage King, I really really really want to go through Kemptown Tunnel. You have no idea of the amount of interest there is in the Kemptown Railway and I hope that this website will demonstrate that it is a serious concern. Lots of love, Loz at ghost-trains :o)

Hello Storage King,

Dumpman here of Dumpman Films. I would love to go back in the tunnel for another look and I know from people contacting me that many others share that wish. Please consider allowing this visit as this really is one of the most interesting and unspoilt transport history relics left in Brighton; all the overground bits of this line have been demolished or filled in so its kind of special !

Cheers

Hi Storage King

Joe, you'll probably remember me as the guy who visited your premises some months back, requesting access to the tunnel for a group of genuinely interested "industrial archaeologists", but regrettably our request was declined on that occasion, however you did say that it would be worthwhile approaching you again at a future date.

Well here I am again and numbers have swelled dramatically! I hope by browsing this site you will recognise that we are not "thrill seekers" but genuine "age of steam" enthusiasts whose sole objective is to walk the length of the tunnel before it is filled in or otherwise destroyed.

Please Joe, let us in there one time and make a lot of people including myself very happy - we would be grateful!!
Regards

Geoff

Please Storage King a walk through the tunnel could bring an awful lot of publicity for you ...It could even become a regular event like an organised trip through Brighton's sewers
Go on... You know you want to say YES really...

Count me in for this, as I could do with some exercise!! Seriously, it woul be great to walk through a tunnel from a bygone era, and tunnels he always held a fascination for me, as they do for many. I don't know too much about this tunnel so it would be an education for me personally. It would seem that the response you are getting must tell you what you need to do?!!!

To all at Storage King,

Please let us walk the tunnel. It would be greatly appreciated by all of us who have an interest in 'Bygone Brighton' and lost railways in general.

Thanking you in anticipation,
Nick

Dear Storage King,

I would love to be able to join a party to walk the Kemp Town tunnel, as I have associations with this area going back 50 years. So much inevitably changes, but I feel that anything, no matter how small, sometimes just a memory, should be preserved or revisited,if at all possible, and, it is the duty of all of us to facilitate this ,if it is in our power, for the benefit of all.

Kind regards,

Peter Dann

I would love to have the experience of seeing an old railway tunnel. This sort of thing has always fascinated me but I have never actually had the experience, so please include me.

I would like to add my support for this group of like-minded people, including my two brothers, who would dearly like to walk through the Kemptown Tunnel before it is possibly filled in or destroyed and forgotten for good. So many things from our bygone ages are lost without trace. Please give this your serious consideration and look favourably upon those who wish to fulfill their interests.
